Nevertheless, the study of single-pilot operation of cargo aircraft is still on the table in the US Senate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>we will never compromise safety<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>core mission\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ALPA, which represents more than 60,000 pilots at 34 airlines, asked its members to contact members of Congress and the Senate to express opposition, writing on its Facebook page,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe must ensure there are always two pilots in aircraft. <strong>We will never compromise safety<\/strong>, the <strong>core mission<\/strong> and vision of ALPA and our pilots since 1931.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>remote pilots<\/strong> <strong>on the ground<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>interact with &#8230;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>effective cockpit resource management<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>ready to take over in case of an emergency<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ALPA argues that <strong>remote pilots<\/strong> <strong>on the ground<\/strong> would not be able to<strong> interact with<\/strong> pilots in the air in a manner that promotes <strong>effective cockpit resource management<\/strong>.
