Turns out, a lot of optimism can be found there, but <strong>even more questions remain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>in various stages of developing<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>certify designs<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>out of reach<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are over 100 companies <strong>in various stages of developing<\/strong>, testing and <strong>certifying their designs<\/strong> for a flying car. \u00a0And it seems\u00a0this new kind of transportation will not be<strong> out of reach<\/strong> for an average consumer. The cheapest flying car in development, Samson Switchblade, is advertised to cost $120,000 a bit cheaper than your average used Cessna 172.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>approachable<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>in the process of building prototypes\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>pass the stage\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The cost of using such a vehicle on a sharing basis is also <strong>approachable<\/strong> for an average citizen, as Uber\u2019s Elevate flying taxi service is expected to cost $5.73 per mile, just a bit more than a London taxi.
