Listening
In this section, your comprehension of real-world aviation communication is tested. You will listen to various audio recordings, ranging from standard radio calls to complex emergency scenarios, often featuring different international accents and radio interference.

- Listen to recorded ATC and pilot communications
- Identify and repeat key data like callsigns, flight levels, or headings
- Summarize the main events of a recorded situation or incident
- Answer specific questions to demonstrate full understanding of the audio
Describing
The final part requires you to provide a detailed verbal analysis of aviation-related images. You will need to use your “plain English” skills to explain technical situations, incidents, or environmental factors, moving beyond standard phraseology.
What you are asked to do in this part:
- Provide a comprehensive description of the provided photo
- Speculate on the possible causes of the situation shown
- Discuss the potential consequences for the flight or ground operations
- Suggest appropriate pilot or ATC actions to resolve the scenario
